          "Blood, Sweat, and Gears"

          The Northeastern University student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (NU-ASME) is an organization that seeks to promote and explore opportunities in engineering. NU-ASME offers students, faculty, alumni, and community members the ability to interact, network with engineering professionals, and provide civil service to the Greater Boston Area. NU-ASME combines scholastic principles with fundamental real-world applications to enhance engineering knowledge and awareness.

          Weekly industry meetings are held Wednesdays from 11:45am - 1:00 PM EST on our ASME Spring 2021 Teams Channel.

          Virtual workshops will vary by date, time, and meeting link invite.

          Spring 2021 Tech Talk Schedule

          ASME's weekly meetings provide an opportunity for students to learn about processes used by various companies through Tech Talk presentations and activities. They are a great opportunity to network and learn about companies' expectations for future co-ops. For more information, sign up for our newsletter on our Contact page.

          Spring 2021 Workshop Schedule

          We are dedicated to providing resources for students to expand upon their skills and share their knowledge with other students. In collaboration with other engineering organizations, we have implemented Tuesday Night Workshops to teach both technical and non-technical skills that will help students grow and succeed in their field of study. Refer to the schedule for more information and stay updated with our newsletter for future events.

          ME Town Hall

          Wednesday, April 14th | 11:45-1:00 PM EST | ASME Industry Teams Channel

          Come meet with the Mechanical Engineering Faculty and Advisors for updates on whats new in the college of engineering, and the opportunity to voice your concerns and ideas!

          MIE Co-op Mixer

          Monday, February 15th | 6:00-8:00 PM EST | ASME Co-op Mixer Teams Channel

          Hop between various breakout rooms on Teams (Aerospace, Automotive, Biomedical, Consumer Products, Defense, Energy, Manufacturing, Robotics) and talk to NEU students and faculty with co-op and full time experience in the industry!

        • SOLIDWORKS Course

          NU-ASME hosts a SOLIDWORKS certification course every semester that runs one night a week for eight weeks, preparing students for the Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) exam.

          Thursdays from 7:00PM to 9:00PM EST on Zoom

          The SOLIDWORKS course provides the opportunity to prepare for the CSWA through practice problems, sample exam questions, and more. Registration for Spring 2021 will occur on Sunday January 31st at exactly 8PM EST. For more details, please email asmesolidworks@gmail.com or join our newsletter.
